5 on Friday

Trying to do a 5 on Friday linkup, but I don't think the linky tool (it's actually called that - I didn't make up the term linky to be cute) is working.
Either way...ATTEMPTING TO link up with Natasha at Hello Happiness. 
 
1. Summer. This isn't going to be a summer of big travels or big adventures, rather it's going to be made up of small moments that are already turning out to be special memories. I'm loving the time with my Little Buddy. Every day she surprises me with something new.

 Here's a glimpse into our summer...

2. Recipes. What the heck do people do with their recipes? Me? I write them on random scraps of paper, slop all over them when I actually cook something, and stuff them in a drawer when I'm finished.  I cringe every time I open the drawer and hope what I'm looking for is close to the top. I'm seriously lazy when it comes to anything cooking...so, I'm organizing this mess.

3. Projects. We have about 4250 projects going right now...but we now have central air installed, some landscaping done, and our garage is (almost) organized. We made another trip to Lowes today...

We put Little Buddy in the car shopping cart. She was adorable in there driving the car, but maybe not 58 cell phone photos cute. oops. Here's 1....of 58. hahah

She drove the entire time :)

I found some patio cushions I liked so I brought them home to try. I need a bigger rug, but I had this one in the garage so I threw it out there for now. 

 

4. Dishes. I have a helper with the dishes now too. Melt my heart. 

I might eat her up!

5. Books and Wine. I ordered a book today due to a recommendation from a friend. I'm looking forward to reading this...

And this is my new favorite wine. A good book, glass of wine, and my new patio cushions on my 3 season porch. Lovin' summer :)

What's up....Summer!

We are quickly finding ourselves in a new summer routine, which I LOVE!! It goes a little something like this; pack a cooler and diaper bag, hit the Caribou drive-thu, and spend all morning at the park! Little Buddy starts clapping her hands when we get close :) She runs, climbs, swings, digs, trips and falls, brushes herself off and starts all over :)
We are only a week into summer and I have major picture overload on my camera....mainly because I love outdoor photos. Her face is dirty, her hair is sweaty, and her smile is genuine. She wants to be outside every minute! Here's just a few photos...

On Saturday, we took morning bike ride and ended up stopping at 2 parks along the way. She thinks her dad is MUCH more fun at the park because he pushes her higher on the swing and takes her down the big slide. I prefer digging in the sand...with my iced coffee :)

We also have made a few more day trips to the lake. This kid ran and played all day...and this was after we hit 2 parks that morning!!

The only other interesting things of note (interesting to me anyway) is I took a day to make cards with a friend. It's one of my favorite hobbies....I love making them, I love sending them! Here's what I came home with, and 2 of them are already in the mail!

My Little Buddy just went down for a nap. I have 2 hours and I'm not sure if I should clean, workout, do homework, or take a nap. It's a precious 2 hours ahead of me!

WHOOP WHOOP!! 
The school year is over and summer vacation is officially here! I'd love to say I'm going to sleep in and read books all summer, but reality is that I have a kiddo that wakes up at 5 and I have to tackle grad school. My actual plan is to drink plenty of coffee (and wine), go to the lake, spend time with my family, and work on house projects......and possibly exercise. I'm so excited!! Here's what's been shakin' with our family so far....

This is a crazy time of year with the school year coming to an end and tennis tournaments around the corner. We have been busy!! We just sat down and made a summer project list....there's NO WAY we are going to accomplish everything on that list! My summer bucket list is even longer than our project list :) I love the anticipation of summer and all of the fun things coming our way!!
