Five on Friday

Hello Blogging Friends.....all 3 of you :) Let's get right to it! Five on Friday linkup with Darci from The Good Life Blog and Natasha from Hello Happiness Blog.
THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

1.  LITTLE BUDDY'S BIRTHDAY!! She's 2 today! I love how much she's talking and how many words she is learning to say. She loves books and watching videos. We sing Wheels on the Bus daily. I stinkin' LOVE this kid.

Tiny peanut...

OMG that face.....
 2.  Home Improvement. Spring is around the corner and our list of projects is getting ridiculous. I want the painting finished, cabinets redone, counter tops, washer and dryer moved, landscaping, etc. Seriously, the list goes on and on. The Hubs wants another garage. I can talk about fun decorating ideas and the response I get is....Garage. Ugh. We NEED the storage, but of all the fun things I want to do to make our house cute and cozy, a garage is not even in my top 100.
Making a trip to the local home improvement store.

I want to decorate our 3 season room!!
3.  The hubs has gone from a 3 sport coach down to 2 sports. We are just getting started with the tennis season. I say WE because of all of the single mom time. Coaching is a family commitment and I'm thankful that we have downsized to 2 sports. That is much more manageable for my family....mainly, ME!! We've had a tennis racket in Little Buddy's hand before she could walk.

I look forward to the day when I can bring my lawn chair and watch Little Buddy play tennis.

3. 5K say WHAT?!?! I signed up for a 5K in a month. All of the running I have done since Christmas has added up to about 0 minutes. The 5K will bring awareness to Children's Mental Health, which provides much needed support to the students in my school. I may need an ambulance when I'm done, but I'll go down supporting a good cause.

4 and 5. All Dogs Go To Heaven. I'm combining 4 and 5 due to picture overload that is about to happen. I refuse to cry as I write this. I had my last meltdown today, and it's time to pull myself together.
We had to put down Little Furry Buddy this week. It's painful. It's heartbreaking. It hurts right down to the core. I am looking forward to the day with the Hubs and I can talk about the good/funny stories we had about our family dog and not be so saddened about the day he died. If you are dog-lover, these are just a few memories I have of my Furry Friend. If you're not a dog-lover, what's wrong with you?!?! hahaha, just kidding. Here we go....I.miss.you.

I have the greatest co-teacher/friends imaginable. I came back to work the following day to gifts, flowers, cards, chocolate, hugs.....They have let me pour my heart out and be sad. Thank you. This is now the beginning where I am grateful for the time I had with my dog and not sad that he is gone.

Enjoy your weekend! I will be celebrating a special birthday with friends and family.
