The week in review

Monday:  Workshop day. The best part of this day was the pit stop at Caribou Coffee before the workshop. Coffee just makes everything better.

This is actually hilarious if you have ever sat through a Marzano training.

Tuesday:
Obviously my brain was not working. I was all ready to start my unit on sequential writing. I had my big lesson planned with the transitional words; First, Next, Then, Last, blah blah blah What’s more embarrassing is that my little first grader had to tell me I spelled the word wrong before I caught my mistake. Bless her little soul…that is how I reacted on the outside. I said a few other words on the inside. ugh.

I came home to play, hug, and kiss my Little Buddy. She loves her noodles. She’s such a big girl to be scooping them all by herself. I may eat her up.

I also have a huge problem shopping clearance, especially this time of year. SUCH.GOOD.DEALS.

I wore this Tuesday and I’m here shouting at you “ONLY $5.98!!!!” I also wore my slippers as shoes. I’m not quite certain what the fashion rule is on this but a little voice is telling me it’s probably not the best idea. I half expected the big wigs to come down to my classroom and send me home to put shoes on. I’ve seen people wear these as shoes. Not professionals, but other people…mostly middle school kids. HA! I did hang my head in shame when my shoes conveniently transformed back to slippers when I got home. It’s the little things that make me happy.
Wednesday:

So.Stinkin’.Cold. Indoor recess with first graders tests a person’s sanity. Is today the day I'm going to crack?

What I wore...Yep, clearance!!!

We had a little family time that evening.
Hey Furry Little Buddy....Don't snuggle with my mom!

My little family....minus Furry Little Buddy
Thursday:  It was a fantastic day at work! I had the opportunity to observe some amazing teachers! It was part of the Marzano training we attended earlier in the week. The training was a bit dry, but the outcome is going to be great!

What I wore....

Friday:  This is considered part of my weekend. My agenda is heavy on activities that will attempt to balance a hectic week... family, snuggling, friends, wine, and a book. Enjoy your weekend!
