Five on Friday

FRIDAY AND I have the day off!!! Linking up with Darci from The Good Life Blog and Natasha from Hello Happiness Blog for another week of total randomness.

1.  2nd Birthday. Little Buddy had her 2nd birthday earlier this month and I haven't had a chance to sit down and blog about it.

This was my attempt at decorations :)
Her outfit was ADORABLE thanks to her auntie!
Big girl is 2!
2.  1st Birthday/40th Birthday. There were a few other very special birthdays this month.
This little stinker turned 1. Love you R.
This little stinker turned 40. Love you big sis!!

3.  Reproductive Medicine. We are back in the fight!

We decided to begin the process again....along with so many others that struggle to have children. Everyone has their own story, their own struggles....I'm sorry if you are dealing with this. Sending love and support to each of you.
I have a love/hate relationship with this place.....
I am thankful for supportive family and friends and so very grateful for Little Buddy. When life throws you a curve ball, follow Elizabeth Taylor's advice...
Keep moving forward!

4.  It's April 25th.
This is what I woke up to....it's beautiful, but it's just wrong!
5.  Summer project. Our list of house projects keep growing. Thanks to Pinterest, I just added another project to the list. I'm still loving our house and the bigger space, big windows, etc.....however, honey oak basically threw up in my entire house. It's on the trim, doors, cabinets...everywhere! I stumbled on a blog called Anything Pretty and she has a solution to the honey oak problem. She has amazing before and after pictures of honey oak trim painted white and now I am super excited to try it.

Thanks for stopping by for Koffee :) Enjoy your weekend!!!

Come on in....Family Rooms

I'm linking up with Andrea to take a sneak peek in my family room. :) It's not exactly the full tour, but I wanted to participate anyway!

We moved into our new home last September....right when school, grad school, and coaching started. There hasn't been much time for home decor shopping and projects. We have several summer projects lined up for our house (inside and out) to make it our own. For now, here is just a sneak peek into a few of my favorite items in my Family Room :))

This is BEFORE.....WOW!

After :)

Never mind the cords....I was assured they would be gone this summer!

My obsession with chevron...

I love these bins to hold toys...and a great price as I found them at Walmart!
I love this color combination!
This sits a little off of the Family Room as you walk into our house.
It's a little hard to see, but I am so happy with our new flooring!

Apparently I don't bother picking up toys before I snap pictures :)
Anywho, that's a little look into our family room. Still on the hunt for the "perfect" rug....if I can make up mind!

Happy Tuesday!! :)

What's on....my DVR

YES!! A linkup coming at you!! Andrea is hosting a linkup called What's on...your DVR.

My hubs LOVES watching TV!! He has control of the TV every night...TV HOGGER. However, these are a few shows we agree on;

1.  Parenthood. I love this show. Every other night of the week I am bed by the time this show is on....this is the ONLY show I stay up "late" to watch.
And with the addition of Ray Romano, I love it even more!! This darn show gets me to tears every time.

2.  Modern Family = Hilarious! It's quick-witted and brilliant. When they show Modern Family marathons, I'm on the couch all day!

3.  Game of Thrones. This is more of the Hubs favorite, but I love the way he waits for me to get ready and watch it with him on Sunday nights. I'll admit, some of the story lines I'm really into, others I still don't know what the heck is going on!

4. The Good wife. This one is hangin' on by a thread. I've watched it since it came out and now they killed off a main character. I'm not sure I can recover.

5. I can't talk TV and not mention my ALL-TIME favorite...

"These pretzels are making me thirsty!"
I can't wait to read what others are watching. I need to take back control of the remote! :)

Five on Friday

FRIDAY!!! Linking up with Darci from The Good Life Blog and Natasha from Hello Happiness Blog for another week of total randomness.
THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

1. Balance. I need to do a better job at finding a balance and being present. Life gets busy, the to-do lists are never-ending, and all of a sudden large chunk of time goes by where I don't remember time where I just sat and soaked in Little Buddy or did something that I enjoy....like blogging about random things :) I don't exactly know how to accomplish this...maybe it's cutting back, being a better planner, or just being more organized. I just know I don't want to continue to carry the stress and this mental buzz that fills my head. I feel like these are the moments I'm missing....the small ones.

My little....

family.
 2.  Day Off. We didn't have daycare today so I took the day off. This is what got me thinking about balance. I had the entire day with Little Buddy without having to rush out of the house for work or errands. We shopped, played, rough-housed, and snuggled. This darn kid...how did I get so lucky?
Iced coffee, snow banks, wagons, and winter coats.....

Having a picnic on Little Buddy's new picnic table...that somehow ended up in our living room?

Snuggles....
3. Never-ending Snow. Will it ever go away??? Our tennis team is finally practicing outdoors on a court that has 8 feet of snow all around it. TIME.FOR.SPRING!
This is NOT tennis weather! I put on my snow shoes and stomped all the way home!
4. Favorite Photo. I know I've already gone overboard on Little Buddy pictures, but I can not resist just a few more. She slipped and (gently) fell outside....not to mention being a little bit on the tired side and her big tears just melt my heart.

5. How's this for RANDOM!! This is now my least favorite nail polish. I have put about 9 coats on trying to make it look nice and now it looks like I dunked my hands in Elmer's glue and called it nail polish.

Ballet Slipper: I am done with you!
I have old, beat up hands...no need for a large picture :)
Enjoy your weekend!!!!

National Sibling Day

I'm sharing National Sibling Day with the BEST sister!! I had a few minutes this evening so I spent some time going through pictures of us from the past few years. Just a few words to describe her; fun, smart, fighter, quick-witted, great mom, and absolutely hilarious! She can tell a story and have me in tears because I'm laughing so hard. Here we are...in no particular order :)

LOVE YOU!!!

YES!!

I just about peed my pants when I saw this :))

Happy National Sibling Day!! Hope your own memories bring a smile to your face. :)

Five on Friday

Hello Blogging Friends.....all 3 of you :) Let's get right to it! Five on Friday linkup with Darci from The Good Life Blog and Natasha from Hello Happiness Blog.
THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

1.  LITTLE BUDDY'S BIRTHDAY!! She's 2 today! I love how much she's talking and how many words she is learning to say. She loves books and watching videos. We sing Wheels on the Bus daily. I stinkin' LOVE this kid.

Tiny peanut...

OMG that face.....
 2.  Home Improvement. Spring is around the corner and our list of projects is getting ridiculous. I want the painting finished, cabinets redone, counter tops, washer and dryer moved, landscaping, etc. Seriously, the list goes on and on. The Hubs wants another garage. I can talk about fun decorating ideas and the response I get is....Garage. Ugh. We NEED the storage, but of all the fun things I want to do to make our house cute and cozy, a garage is not even in my top 100.
Making a trip to the local home improvement store.

I want to decorate our 3 season room!!
3.  The hubs has gone from a 3 sport coach down to 2 sports. We are just getting started with the tennis season. I say WE because of all of the single mom time. Coaching is a family commitment and I'm thankful that we have downsized to 2 sports. That is much more manageable for my family....mainly, ME!! We've had a tennis racket in Little Buddy's hand before she could walk.

I look forward to the day when I can bring my lawn chair and watch Little Buddy play tennis.

3. 5K say WHAT?!?! I signed up for a 5K in a month. All of the running I have done since Christmas has added up to about 0 minutes. The 5K will bring awareness to Children's Mental Health, which provides much needed support to the students in my school. I may need an ambulance when I'm done, but I'll go down supporting a good cause.

4 and 5. All Dogs Go To Heaven. I'm combining 4 and 5 due to picture overload that is about to happen. I refuse to cry as I write this. I had my last meltdown today, and it's time to pull myself together.
We had to put down Little Furry Buddy this week. It's painful. It's heartbreaking. It hurts right down to the core. I am looking forward to the day with the Hubs and I can talk about the good/funny stories we had about our family dog and not be so saddened about the day he died. If you are dog-lover, these are just a few memories I have of my Furry Friend. If you're not a dog-lover, what's wrong with you?!?! hahaha, just kidding. Here we go....I.miss.you.

Lake Superior

Waiting for Little Buddy to be born...

LOVE our boat rides. He was always the first one in the boat!

Sweet Friends

I love you.

I have the greatest co-teacher/friends imaginable. I came back to work the following day to gifts, flowers, cards, chocolate, hugs.....They have let me pour my heart out and be sad. Thank you. This is now the beginning where I am grateful for the time I had with my dog and not sad that he is gone.

Enjoy your weekend! I will be celebrating a special birthday with friends and family.
